Term 3 looks to be another busy term!
Receptions will be learning about Doubutsu (Animals)
R/1 will be learning about Days of the week/ months and seasons
2/3 are learning all about Japan
Year 4/5 will be learning all about hiragana (Japanese writing system)
Year 6/7 will be learning verbs and nouns
We are all looking forward to another fun and productive term in Japanese!

Wow… what a busy term! It has been exciting to have the new interactive whiteboard in the Japanese room and students have been using the board in many fun ways to become engaged in their Japanese lessons.
Receptions have been learning greetings, colours and numbers
R/1 have been learning about the karada (Body)
Year 2/3 have been learning about Kyoshitsu no mono (Classroom objects)
Year 4/5 have been learning about Tabemono (Food)
Year 6/7 have been learning how to give a Jikoshokai (Self introduction)
The whiteboard has certainly been a highlight in the Japanese room! Please come by and have a look if you haven’t seen it in action before

There is some exciting news from the Japanese room! In the school holidays an electronic whiteboard will be installed. All of the classes will be able to play games and become interactive on many Japanese websites.
Some great websites to get you started are:
Origami Club – where you can see many different origami patterns and even watch a cartoon showing you how to make the origami! Why don’t you have a try making origami at home and then show Julie sensei what you have made?

Konnichiwa!
It has been a fun and exciting term in Japanese so far in Term 1.
Rec/1 have been learning greetings, numbers and colours.
Year 1/2/3 have been learning about family.
Year 4/5 have been learning about shopping.
Year 5/6/7 have been learning about Japanese New Year.
The most popular character in the Japanese room is Pikachu!!
